Anybody else notice that PQ has been worse than usual in the last two weeks on E*? I admit that it isn't that great on some of the channels to start out with, but I've been seeing heavy pixelation and blocking, particularly in action sequences, on many channels. Is Dish using more compression than usual lately? Any reports of transponders going out?

ESPN2 has been particularly bad and some of my international channels are very soft and look almost out of focus. At first I thought it was my eyes, then my receiver, then my TV, but I am having this problem with all three of my receivers (501, 625, and 942) and TVs. Signal strength on all sats is in the 90s.

Any ideas?

Funny you should mention it. I thought it was my TV but I am seeing what you are seeing for about 2 weeks. With Dish, nothing stays the same - both good and bad..

I forget what I was watching, but I saw quite a bit of pixelation on an SD channel the other night. I didn't know what was happening

Canal Uno

Time for more VOOM programming speculation!
