dish pvr drives

has any one found any use for old dish network pvrs that are not being used? can the drives

be taken out of their units and used for recordings? just asking if anything possible before they

are put out for trash. tnxs for any info.

Yes, you can reuse the drives, though the oldest of these PVRs have pretty dinky disks by present day standards.

they make very good boat anchors or door stops!

I have a 625 receiver with a dead drive.....i replaced it with one from a 510 a very long time ago and it worked for several years. If you have old drives available, shoot me a PM - i'd love to get the 625 going again
