DISH Reaches Long Term Agreement with DISNEY / ESPN / ABC

When is the last time dish lowered their rates after one of these supposed hard ball negotions... rates only go up so what ever lower rate they might get, theyll still raise rates and pocket the difference. So the consumer gets the shaft anyway.

Don't you remember when the price dropped after AMC was dropped. Oh, wait.

oh yeah, it's practically a done deal.... all the hd channels will be turned on.... blah, blah, blah. well it's october and no deal, no hd? this is just the beginning? btw...I TOLD YOU SO

What exactly did you tell us? They're in the middle of negotiations so what are we talking about here???

Me too, and a Roku.

Ditto. If yours didn't drop (Or for most get a Roku too) it is your own fault.

I'm not going to go back and quote those who said it, however every post saying DISH should just pay what Disney wants is exactly why we are paying as much as we are now. And you have to learn, when you are talking about millions of subscribers, pennies count. And beyond that, you conveniently have left out that DISH continues to cost less than just about any other carrier in particular in the one to two receiver household.

I know it falls on deaf ears for some, but we continue to see the mistake of the old, tired "My rates didn't drop" posts in regards to DISH negotiating. The cost goes up, it is by how much, and then by how much your rates go up. Just think of how many channels Disney has including of course ESPN, and the total cost that is on your package price. Telling DISH to just pay what Disney wants is ridiculous.

I think it is a very good sign that they continue to negotiate. That would indicate they are very close or can see an agreement being made. That, and the lack of rocks being thrown in the press.

I don't recall anyone saying all the HD channels would turn on. Are we freaking out a little here?
