I know there's a MPEG 4 HD PVR for dish 622? I think?not sure of the model #). I presently have the 3200(only 1 receiver), I'm looking to upgrade it to eithere a SD MPEG 4 receiver(if there is one? if so whats it called?), if not can the MPEG 4 HD PVR receiver 622? or just the HD MPEG 4 receiver ??? can both get MPEG 4 for SD or is that only for HD?

Thanks.

TOM :)

So there is no MPEG 4 SD receiver? then So then I'm assuming the SD channels on Dish are MPEG 2> if not then then my only choice would the 622 which then I assume can do MPEG 4 for SD or am mistaken in this answer?

Dish has many MPEG4 receivers.

Receiver only - ViP211 and ViP222.
DVR Receivers - ViP612, ViP622, ViP722

All 5 are HD and SD, there is no MPEG4 SD receiver because presently there is no MPEG4 SD being transmitted to any customers.

All the Dish MPEG-4 receivers will also decode MPEG-2, HD and SD.
