Dish remote 6.0 (#2) with receiver 510

I don't know much about different model # of the dish remote controller. I have 510 receiver and few of the buttons are not working. I just bought following....

did I make a mistake? Will it work with my dish DVR 510? Do I need special key/instruction?

i think if you have the #2 remote then at the bottom of the remote there is a #2 at the bottom, you should be able to pull it out and flip it over and put it back in . and then it should work.. but anyone can correct me if i'm wrong

That's right. The 510 won't work with the blue UHF key, but will work with the green IR key. You might have to reset the remote address if it was ever changed before.
