I have just been a Dish Network subscriber for about a week. Previously I was with DirecTV. I had used DirecTV's remote scheduler software since it has been available.
I got to playing around with Dish Networks' Remote Access today, and it beats the h*ll out of DirecTV's remote scheduling.
With Dish I can actually access my DVR's not just schedule to them and I can change timers, delete recordings, etc... Dish should really market this feature MUCH more than they do.
I could get a $7 discount by bundling Dish with my local teleco, unfortunately would not have access to this feature, so that is a deal breaker with the teleco. I think it is worth at least $7 per month.

Welcome to the other side, I myself have moved over from Directv, its been about three months and has gone well. Glad to hear there are other like myself that have moved from Direct to Dish, dont hear to many of those stories

Yes, I agree with you that Dish marketing sucks. I have a BS in Marketing, but never really liked it, so I decided to go into Accounting.
Anyway, one thing I remember is the S.W.O.T analysis,
Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
This feature is a Strength for Charlie and could also be an Opportunity to gain more subscribers, I think he needs to take a few marketing classes.
