Hoping I can pick someone's brain with the problem I'm having with my dish.
I have an older system, dish 500 with a dp311 receiver (which is a recent replacement due to problem). Problem is: no 119 signal. Only 110 signal channels show up on my guide, choose 140 espn and it goes to 141. Check switch gives me 110,110, x, x and an odd, even, x, x
I installed a new sw21 switch from dish a little over a week ago. After that didn't resolve the problem, I bought 2 lnbf's that were from a swap and installed those as well, followed by 2 new 3 feet RG6 cables for the lnbfs. Signal strength is not as good as I would like it to be (have 70's) green and locked---echostar 110 west. I relocated the ground wire from the nut for adjusting (not a good place for that) to the one above that is stationary. Anything I could be overlooking? Called dish and they ran through the basics. So, anyone run into this before or have any suggestions for me? Missing all the games and paying for them.

I don't think it's the new switch either, and I replaced both wires to the lnb's, good connections, but trees are a lot fuller than they were a month or so ago, and I've tweaked the dish alignment several times and can't get any better than mid 70's. I was thinking LOS also, especially since I've replaced or swapped components, just hoping I wasn't overlooking something. I even used my multimeter to check for continuity in the wires. Perhaps my choice tool should be a saw this afternoon.

ok, after a couple hours outside, the tree cannot be the issue anymore. And no matter how I tilt and adjust the dish, 70 is the best signal strength I can get. I have both of the replacement lnbf's installed, and I may swap side to side and see if there's a difference. Still getting the Status: WARNING- only one satellite connected.
