Dish won't let me add a 2nd HD receiver

I called Dish Network this afternoon and asked them how much it would cost to get another HD receiver for my 2nd HDTV. They said they won't give me one, because I just got one for my first HDTV. What?!! I asked why, and he said I could only add one HD receiver per year. What the hell is this all about? He says its in the contract. Why is Dish doing this?!?! It seems very very insane.

Now my only option is signing up for new service with another provider. Seriously, what has caused Dish Network to restrict its HD service to one HDTV per year?

Call back and try for a more knowledgable CSR. Last Tech Chat, multable upgrades were now available. Or try dishstore and purchase another receiver.

I had to bitch and moan some last week but they finally let me have 2 622s and 2 211s, all of which are HD recievers.

Just ask to speak with somebody in client retention.
