Hi - so this my scenario.

1. We have a Superdish with 110/119/121 --> I know 121 is going away, thread relates to this problem. This connects a do a DP34

2. We also have a Twin Dish 500 System, about 2 years old, which provides signal to our Dish 622 and 322 receiver with HD and International. Satellite 110/119/61.5

Now, I want to be able to provide 61.5 signal to the Superdish as well. I identified the 121 Dish, since it only has one lnb. The bracket has slots for two lnbs, but only one is being utilized, which I believe is the 121.

Can I install another 61.5 lnb in that second open bracket and run a cable to the DP34 to swap out the 121 satellite?

Lastly, I have an old lnb sitting with it saying BS1H1UP101M Digital LNBF, could that be utilized for the second 61.5? Not sure what lnb this is but was in the attic. Otherwise, I'm thinking of buying the second 61.5 from a online store or so, if it would work in my scenario.

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

If your locals aren't on 121 anymore, disconnect it from the DP34; run 61.5 to the DP34 in its place.

Connect all the receivers to the DP34.

well the thing is I have three dishes.

1. Superdish - with 121/119/110 -- the intls have dissapeared. This feeds some additional receivers in the house.

2. Dish 500 - two of them - with 119/110 and 61.5 This feeds the 322 and 622.

So on the Superdish I want to get the 61.5 satellite with the least hassle to replace the 121.

On the Dish 500 pointing towards 61.5, I saw one a bracket with two slots, one has the lnb, which I think is 61.5

I was thinking if I get another lnb 61.5 - and put in the second slot, run that to the DP34 where the 121 is, and swap it out, that would be the easiest for me.

I was wondering if that would work as I'm thinking it would.

thanks

nope, that second lnb would be pointed somewhere else.

you need a dual DP lnbf at 61.5, look at the one you have, if it has two outputs you are set, just run one of those to the DP34. Otherwise you need to replace the single with a DP dual (not twin).

I think you've actually identified the 110 LNB. 121 is squeezed in to the wider housing with 119. Now that I re-read this, it sounds more like a 61.5 dish which should be pointing more to the east than the other dishes.

This should make it easier...

Go to the receiver's Point Dish screen > Check Switch > Summary. That will show you which input on the DP34 is getting 121. Remove that line from the DP34. Your 61.5 dish likely has a DP Dual, run a line from its second output to the DP34.
