I just sold my Dishplayer 7200 to a friend who just had Dish Network installed. He had a Dish 500 with two rooms wired and one receiver, a 301. When he tried to hook up the Dishplayer to the other outlet, he was able to get channel 101 and Sky Angel (the freebies), but when he went to authorize the receiver, he was told he needed a $70 black box to make it work. I've never heard of this. Does anyone know what that's about?

Found the answer to my problem. Apparently he has a DishPro setup and needs a DishPro adapter to get things to work. Oh, well.
Your friend you sold the Dishplayer 7200 to, did he need to pay any extra for the PTV service? Or was he only charged the additional receiver fee?
