DISHSD is so terrible. It looks like a gob of SH!T on my 50" screen.
How have you people put up with it for so long?

Do you have SD in stretched format?
Yes I have it set to stretched as I have a plasma. I am going back to 4DTV. Stretched or un-stretched the quality can't compare. I just hope the DigiCypherII tech. will last a while longer. But I will keep Dish for ESPNHD and others. Just not the premium movie channels. I'll get those on cband.

....and yes, of couse C-band PQ will win hands down over Dish, Direct, or Cable. Of couse, its a lot faster for me to change channels now that I no longer have to wait for the dish to move

That's alright the c-band Dish will be parked on Galaxy 1 ( HBO,MAX and STARZ) will move to galaxy 9 (HBO realHD and STARZ realHD). Won't take anymore than 5 seconds to swap between the 2 satellites with a press of a button on the remote..

It's not just the issue of pixel size (although at 50" I imagine that's pretty bad) -- many of Dish's SD channels are really really overcompressed. Nobody should ever have put 10+ channels on a carrier, but that's what happens when you let business people rather than technical people run utility companies!
