Without watching, the consensus answer seems to be yes. The trajectory of devices in schools has spanned the banning of pagers and then phones because of drug dealing, to the wide permitting of phones so that the kiddos and their parents can be in instant contact, to now re-barring them simply as a big distraction. School is a captive experience; kids just have to get through it the best that they can, and there's no kind of right to electronics whilst there.
