Does 269 Fix Timer - Power on Problem?

I'm still waiting for the 269 software update on my 811, but I haven't seen anyone here say whether the update fixes the problem with the 811 failing to power on when you set a VCR timer and then turn it off. I've been powering my reciever off in hopes of getting the software download, but have been missing recordings because it never comes on for my timer settings.

No, you still have to turn the 811 and your vcr on first, then it will record ok. The 811 will turn on but just show a black screen.
