Tried to hook up a spare 3700 I had in a downstairs bedroom. My dish is operated with a dual DP lnb and 2 DP-34's.

When I try to do a check switch it only finds sat 119. I am guessing the old reciever is not compatible?

YOu need a 301 or newer with DP LNBs.

You can either get a DP adapter for the 3700, upgrade to a DPP lnb, or swap out the DP lnb with a Legacy lnb.

In any event, your original worry is correct.

Legacy receiver is worthless with DP LNBs, and the adapter costs more than a DP301 receiver on eBay.
