Does Dish have any major plans for hawaii?

Nothing would indicate that. If they are not providing them now, with all the new channels being added hard to think that is on their radar.

Dish is sending as much as they can in the spectrum that the government gave them to use to send signals to Hawaii. In order to add more the FCC needs to give them more spectrum, and then they need a new satellite which will let them send the signals in that direction.

Unfortunately because of this I wouldn't expect any big changes anytime soon.

But on the plus side... you might not get those channels... but you are in Hawaii! That more then makes up for not having some RSN's. :D

South Florida is as good as Hawaii, but with more HD Channels and easier to get to. Plus Spanish is a lot more use than Hawaiian. Aloha! vs Oola:D

I remember what Newman from Seinfeld said about Hawaii..... The air is so dewy sweet you don't even need to lick a stamp.

Dish could up the spot beam capacity to HI when they put a new satellite up. It is not something that they do very often, but Dish has certainly improved the spot capacity to AK and HI over the satellite launches.
