does hopper 3 need a landline

i always had a landline and wired ethernet to hopper 3.
can i ditch the landline and go wifi only without any issues?

The only thing you will lose is Caller ID...

Yes, we haven't had a landline for about 10 years and use the wired ethernet connection from our DSL.
