I have a dish 500 with a dish pro twin looking at 110/119 and another 500 looking at 61.5 routed through a dp34, to a 301 and 211 receiver, I am going to renovate the bedroom where the 301 is located and will remove that receiver for a couple of weeks, I was told that the 211 alone will not provide sufficient power to the dp34, that I need at least 2 receivers connected to it, is this true,

A 211 should be enough to power a DP34, granted two should be ideal but one DP receiver should be good enough to power the switch and the LNBs.

Naw, that's not true. I've done many many many installs back in the SD days where there was a single 311 hooked up to a DP34 powering three LNBs.

the 2 receiver requirement is for older legacy receivers connected to a DPP twin or the new dish 1000.2 LNB. The DP34 switch will work just fine with only 1 dishpro receiver connected.

true u wont have any problem, just to be on the safe side connect the 211 into port1 on the 34
btw u should consider 129 instead of 61.5
