DP301 and 3900 Receivers

Are DP301 receiver (we have 3) and a 3900 receiver compatible? The 3900 is now picking up all the channel sequences but not the channels. Anything 119 is not coming in. Called tech support at DISH and they said to rotate the receivers to different areas in the house. Lame idea but tried it. I would think they would be compatible and work but thus far not looking good. Your thoughts are appreciated!!

You didn't mention of your dish LNBFs type and switch model. But there wasn't any incompatibilty between legacy and DP receivers.

It is a dual LNBF Dish 500 satellite. Sorry, switch model?

Welcome Clave does it have a DP logo on it or is it grey and says dish network on the front of the eyes of the dish...

It has the DP logo on it. The 3900 was with the Dish 500 logo dish. Trying to use my receiver with my wife's (301) equipment.

Thanks goalie and P Smith! Researching a bit and found that maybe a multi switch is needed. sw21? If so, I have one. How do I install to make it work. Or am I grasping for straws?

Yes, a straw ... you'll need DP LEGACY adapter for your 3900.
