I sent an email to Dish TV CEO and Tech department asking for any info on the DPP64 switch. Here is response from the Tech folks.

At this time we do not have information we can release about any new equipment or switches. We understand the DPP64 switch would be a great asset to many customers. We are always looking for ways to improve our service and we appreciate your input. We will forward your comments and concerns to the proper department. We cannot guarantee this will be implemented. Thank you again for choosing Dish Network and please feel free to contact us again with any future concerns.

Maybe they will have something to release at Team Summit!!

Charles,

Honestly if Dish Network would get their act together and organize their satellite content up there, there shouldn't be a need for 5 satellite locations. A DPP44 should suffice.

I don't see a DPP64 switch coming out SOON. Oh no, I said that word again. :)

LOL, I hear you Randall. But, I think there is enough of us that have and want more than four satellites to point too and could use a bigger switch. Nice to have two sources of signal coming in for backup, to compare, etc. etc.

I could see it being good for some who need 5 birds or more but the average joe would never need it. I for one am glad as one reason I am sticking with E is that I dont want to install a massive slimline dish. Keep the dishes small! 5 LNBs is a joke. You will always sacrifice some signal for better signal on another bird.

Dish 1000 or 1000.2
