Meter will not work unless power supply is connected. I assume the battery is toast as it won't recharge. Can the battery be replaced and anyone know where to purchase one?

Could buy directly from Dr.HD, but I would have Battery Plus or other battery store re-cell.

No, the battery tray slides out when the bottom case plate is removed.

Pulled the battery and reinstalled a couple of times. Connected the charger and the battery recharged to 100%. I guess the hard power cycle may have fixed it for now. Haven't used it yet though. Thanks for the help.

Used the meter today and a couple of days ago and had to pull the battery in order to get it to charge. Not a big issue yet.
