I carry a Tailgater in the RV but I don't think it will work in Canada, so I will also haul my Dish 500 with tripod. Do I have a chance to hit any satellite's as we go north? I know the elevations really low in the sky the further north you go. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

We went RVing to Alaska last summer. Most campgrounds had cable TV. Even if you did get a Dish signal you won't have local channels unless you change your address to the campground you are staying and I think you might have to pay for Alaska coverage. We left our Dish and receiver at home, We did have Kindles and read a lot of books. If you have DVD player you could take your own movies. Enjoy the fabulous scenery and take lots of photos.

If you have internet access (unlimited) you could stream from home for locals.
