Let's try this again. My apologies for the previous ad, apparently there's nothing blocking you from posting a classified ad if you're not a pub member. I've now paid my dues.

I've decided to go over to the dark side and sign up for Dish network. My name is Mike and I'm an HDTV addict. :) 4DTV just doesn't have enough HD content for me anymore. As such, I'm putting my DSR-922 up for sale. I purchased it new in 2005 so the battery should be good for years to come. It's been modified with an R5000 mod and I've also purchased the Sage TV add-on software. This is a pretty cool upgrade for 4DTV as it eliminates the need for an HDD200 to get HD and also eliminates the antiquated 4DTV guide. You do need to have a Sage TV system, but for Cband 4DTV viewing this receiver is pretty much as good as it gets though. I've recorded many movies from the HBO and Starz HD master feeds, and this is about as good as HD gets short of blu-ray.

I realize the market for this receiver is probably pretty small, which means there may not be anybody willing to pay what it's worth. I've got about $1100 in this receiver but am willing to let it go for $700. If I don't get a good offer in a couple days I'll probably send the receiver to Nextcomm and have them move the mod over to my new Dish receiver. Afterwards, I'll put the receiver back up for sale again at a reduced price.

Thanks,
Mike

Price reduced for short time

I thought I'd give this one more try before having the mod removed. I talked with the R5000 folks and I can transfer my Sage license to my 211 so I'm removing the Sage software from the listing and lowering the price. The current price for an R5000 mod to a 922 is $350 and 922's like mine are going for over $300 on fleabay. One went for over $500.

I'm willing to let this go for $550 plus shipping.

I'll leave it up for sale for a couple days but if there's no interest, I will send it to the R5000 guys this time.

Thanks,
Mike

Just shipped the 922 to the R5000 guys to have the mod moved over to my 211. I'll put it back up for sale at a reduced price when I get it back.
