duel tuner question

My sat input goes into a splitter befor going into sat 1 and sat 2 input on my 722k. Am I loosing picture quality by doing it this way?? This is how it was installed.

It is actually not a splitter but rather a "separator." It permits a single coax to carry your satellite signal from the dish to the rear of the receiver where the signal is "separated" for use by the two tuners.

Well it technically does impact picture quality. Without it you won't get any picture on some channels and you'll get lots of errors...
