I found this guide on AVS Forum. Since the recently released 811, and soon to be released 921, both provide DVI output this information should prove quite helpful. The guide was written in July 2003.

That's a very good guide. From reading through quickly I differ on one thing, the use of dual link.

The author of the quide states:
Single link cables use one TMDS 165Mhz transmitter, while dual links use two. Single link can support up to 1280 x 1024 whereas dual link can go up to 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Compare with this from Pericom Semiconductor Corp.

A single DVI link can support digital displays with
resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) at 60 Hz (165 MHz
of bandwidth or 165 mega pixels per seconds), while a two
channel DVI link can support up to 2048 x 1536 (QXGA) at
60 Hz (330 MHz of bandwidth or 330 mega pixels per
second).

Single link is all that's needed for HDTV applications. Dual links have caused problems in the past.
