Hello All,

I'm a very newbie, before last week I watched mostly rented movies.
Last week I got the DVR 522 installed, in single mode and so far I have seen a couple glitches, like sound drops, small picture problems.

Last night I wanted to record Gilmore Girls and I tuned in while it was already airing. So, I pushed the record button/entire show and clicked OK. The recording LED lit up.

Then later, during the show, I decided to create an "all new episodes" timer of it, so I pushed record again and ticked "new episodes".
This morning I found that the show from last night wasn't recorded, and there was no timer set for future shows.

Setting timers before a show starts works fine.
Are there any known issues with managing recordings while a show is on?

I've had success by manually recording the current program, then using a future episode to set up the recurring event.

What I wish for is that I can jump from a current show to the dish pass setup.
I would think that all the required information is right in front of me.

Your reply sounds like I should have taken two steps.
1. Record the current show,
2. Find the next episode and create a dish pass from there.
