DVR 622 HDMI problem

Just added a hdmi switch on my tv config. Has four hdmi in and one out. ALl my other devices work fine with the switch, except the dish 622 dvr. Cant detect sig. Hooking the 622 hdmi directly to the tv works, but going thru the switch, its the only hdmi device that does not. Is there an issue with the 622's and hdmi switches? The switch I got is from monoprice.com and says version 2.4 (whatever that means).
