DVR question

In addition to my Dish DVR service, I also have basic cable service (to get some stations that I cannot receive via Dish).

I know the answer is probably "no" to this question, but is there any way to use my Dish DVR to record shows off the cable feed? The cable goes into my Dish receiver, so I wondered if there is a link possibility to use the DVR.

You answered your question, no there's no way to record those cable channels.

You can use a vcr of dvd recorder, not a dish dvr receiver.

I am nots ure which DVR you have. Some can record only the satellite channels and some can record the stellite channels plus OTA digital channels. None of them however can record analog or digital cable. Interstingly the 622 menus make a reference to cable but the cannot be tuned or recorede.
