I ASSUME that every program has a 'code' associated with it and that this 'code' is used to start and stop recording???

I telephoned "programming" at WSBT22 in South Bend. Answer: "that's a DishNetwork problem".
I do not recall the Movie, but there was 30 minutes of a ballgame at the beginning--- I deleted it.
