You had to wait two days for those channels to show up? Whenever I have a receiver that is completely shut down, I just call Dish to reactivate it, then call Dish back to deactivate it after I go through the guide to make sure all of the channels are there, and I have all of the free channels the same day. There is no Change of Service fee for activating / deactivating purchased receivers, so I can do this as often as I need to. However, there is usually no need to go through this process very often, since the free channels usually stay active as long as the receiver stays hooked up.
