If I buy a used Model HR20 receiver (to replace my standard leased receiver)what will directv chage me for a access card ? I can install it myself and have a leased HR20 as my primary receiver. I have had directv for 4 months. Is their anything else I should know. Thank you Mike

You should know that anyone who leases an HR20 is not allowed to transfer it to you.

Read the Equipment Lease Addendum and make sure you understand those terms before you do anything.

If the used HR20 is not leased..but owned by the previous.. IE: the seller.. then yes its no problem.. given the seller is also including and has the orginal directv access card that is mirred to the reciever..

if not directv will require to order the access card for around 20 bucks..

I believe you can get the serial number from the prospect & email the details to DTV to make sure he has the right to sell it.
