Englewood, Colo., Feb. 17, 2006 - EchoStar Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: DISH) confirmed that effective Feb. 17, 2006, its subsidiary, EchoStar DBS Corporation, completed the previously announced redemption of all of its outstanding 9 1/8 percent Senior Notes due 2009. In accordance with the terms of the indenture governing the notes, the outstanding principal amount of approximately $442 million was repurchased at 104.563 percent, for a total of approximately $462 million.
