Looks like they are trying to validate the TiVo Patent work-around. TiVo stock dropped 2.96% today.

I wonder what E* will do with this with respect to other PVR Manufactures (would they give it away to piss TiVo off?).

I believe the Full Court appeal hearing is next week. It's going to get interesting.

Edit: Interesting. The link above includes links to other related (but apparently different) patents. TiVo's time warp is there.

Thanks for the breaking news post. Thread title is a little misleading in that the filing was in 2006 and your link is for the just awarded patent grant .
