Makes sense to offer a hotspot, odd it's 4G when I would expect them to use their 5G spectrum.
I've never seen this JourneyGo thing before, but it's not offering from Dish. It seems like it uses the other three carriers and has no relation to Dish WirelessMakes sense to offer a hotspot, odd it's 4G when I would expect them to use their 5G spectrum.
That's what Taco Bell is for!People need gas more than tv
Tell me Bout it every time I eat at taco hell my a$$hole talks sh*t about meThat's what Taco Bell is for!
I think you might have a point. The meetings between Trump, Charlie and Carr took place almost a month ago, and we still yet to see exactly came out from those meetings.Sounds to me like nothing has changed. Carr of the FCC wants Charlie's spectrum to sell to others. NO matter how much Charlie talked to Trump and Carr that day in the White House. I have a feeling that Charlie will pull the bankruptcy trigger if Carr doesn't back off. Might be the only way out of this debt mess he is in with Boost and his 5g network he is still trying to build out after all these years.
Nothing has changed. Now that TPG has full control of DTV what about trying the DTV and Dish merger again? I wonder how that would be merging DTV's streaming service with Sling TV?
Wouldn't those same bond holders regret their decision now that Dish is facing bankruptcy?Nothing has changed.
The only reason it has not happened is because some EchoStar bondholders would not sign off on the deal.
They probably already know they are going to be screwed, no matter what.Wouldn't those same bond holders regret their decision now that Dish is facing bankruptcy?

Then what becomes of the Spectrum Dish has accumulated, since Boost's phones primarily run off of Verizon/T-Mobile Spectrum, would not be a big deal for Mobile X to take over Boost.Better to combine Boost with Mobile X than to go under completely. At least the people running Mobile X were the same people behind the creation of Boost back in the day. So they know how to run a cell phone company and were able to add customers, not lose them like Echostar has done.
The FCC chairman Brendan Carr, wants the 2g spectrum that Charlie has for Star Link and Musk wants to use it for their service. I would bet that this FCC would make an exception and allow DISH to sell off the spectrum, as long as they sell it to who they want it to go to. IF not the FCC will keep on harassing Charlie till he goes bankrupt. Then what becomes of the Spectrum Dish has accumulated, since Boost's phones primarily run off of Verizon/T-Mobile Spectrum, would not be a big deal for Mobile X to take over Boost.
They still cannot sell/lease a lot of it before certain dates and/or Government approval.
Plus the fact that the FCC investigation of Echostar ( if they are really using the spectrum) is continuing.
Someone would have to buy echostar to get the licenses...The FCC chairman Brendan Carr, wants the 2g spectrum that Charlie has for Star Link and Musk wants to use it for their service. I think Charlie is looking for a way out of this mess and selling off a lot of spectrum would pay off some of that $29.52 billion that Echostar owes. Pairing Boost with Mobile X will keep his cell phone company going a little longer.
The FCC is talking about taking back the spectrum, since Charlie hasn't used much of the band width that he has accumulated over the years. Carr wants to take it back and resell it. Not saying he will, but this administration has changed other things long settled when it suited them. Charlie could just go bankrupt to escape the whole thing. Which would protect his bandwidth he has spent so much money on over the years. There might be more protection in the bankruptcy laws from the FCC and their arbitrary whims.Someone would have to buy echostar to get the licenses...
Not sure about that...WOR lost their tv license..only thing bankruptcy did was to delay...not the same situation but similar tacticsThe FCC is talking about taking back the spectrum, since Charlie hasn't used much of the band width that he has accumulated over the years. AT&T has always had some kind of deals going on... there doing something right... verizon not so much people are flocking from verizon toI have always thought the marketing sucked, even before the 5G debacle.
The only thing that worked, well before cord cutting became supercharged, was when they were advertising they were cheaper than DirecTV, which did work, up to 14 Million Satellite Subscribers, now a little over 5 Million, one of the reasons is because they are no longer the lower price leader.
That type of marketing will not work with Boost, because T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T will just snuff Boost out in a price war, if it gains any momentum.
And just saying Boost/Dish has a 5G Network is not enough, because the others do also.
