Where was echo listed before?

Do you mean which exchange is Echostar (SATS) listed on? Or what index it was part of before being added to the S&P 500? Echostar is listed on the NASDAQ exchange, but I don't recall it being on any index previously. Someone that pays closer attention to the markets would know more about that.

As I said, I don't recall E* being part of any index fund before this, but I could be wrong. Being included in the S&P 500 fund is not something E* chose. It was S&P that chose E*. I think you may be confusing index funds with stock exchanges.
