U.S. Senators John Sununu and Judd Gregg (R-NH) reintroduced a bill Thursday January 11 that would enable Dish subscribers to resume their viewing of WMUR. Northern NH Dish subscribers lost WMUR on Dec 1 when it was caught up in the Distant Network troubles. WMUR , normally part of the Boston DMA, was allowed for NH viewers out of the Boston market before Dec. 1 because it is the state's only major network and source of NH news. John

I'm glad to see that they are on top of things!!!! Hopefully we'll get WMUR back soon!!

I am all for NH residents getting WMUR but this won't succeed except as the part of a comprehensive package. Everybody has a special pleading and it's awkward enough getting an earmark without trying to do so stand alone.

And WMUR is not "normally" part of the Boston DMA. It was and still is in the Boston DMA. SHVERA did not change that status but rather created an exception to the rule. Please note that this had nothing to do with "significantly viewed" status. Even if SV were reinstated for E*, there are some areas in NH that would not get WMUR.
