Ehd on hopper

I dont have to pay to add an ehd to the hopper, right? Do i need to call to activate? The dish installer is here and said i need to call

Back in the day there was a $40 activation fee just like 211. Now that there is no fee, no need to call anyone.

After i read KABs first post, i called. The guy didnt know anything, then i noticed it in the ehd menu icon thing. So im good now.

I have 2 connected, 1 disconneted itself, so i unplugged and and plugged back in, its good now. Is that normal? Also is there a way to rename them?

Is the disappearing EHD a Seagate? Whatever it is, it looks as though it went to sleep and won't wake up again until you cycle the power.
