Encore theme channels

My Comcast just changed the channel ID for the Encore themes from Encore Love, Encore Action, Encore #Westerns, etc. They are now Encore2-7.

Has anybody heard anything about Encore changing the focus of these channels?

Starz did exactly the same thing. It seems to be a nationwide thing. Who knows what they have in mind....

Might have something to do with the migration to MPEG-4.

From my knowledge its only the new HD channels that will be using H.264 dvb-s2, the website has not changed names, mite be your provider doing this, or Starz will be changing names I guess we will have to wait and see.

The dvb-s2 distribution is on Galaxy-13 transponder 7 Galaxy 13/Horizons 1 at 127.0°W - LyngSat

It was not something Comcast did (or had any control over). All the Starz and Encore channels were renamed by Starz. I do not have Comcast and all of those channels were renamed on my service provider

When I view the encore channels I still see the bug that has the old names. And as someone else pointd out the website still refers to them by the earlier names. When did the renaming happen and why have't they changed the bug?

The renaming happened about 2 weeks ago. Only Starz/Encore knows why...
