error 004 dish network

hi i got this error 004 that i have to test the switch box i did it and it didnt worked i unplug the power cable of the dvr and plug it again and still dont work thank you for your help

Sounds like a cable problem. Check all your lines for breaks. Plus this time of year where it stays real wet, if you have a crawl space under the house, if there are any connections under there laying on the ground they mave have gotten water in them and corroded. If that's the case, then it's best to call DISH and have a professional tech come and get it up to spec for you. Trust me, don't try to do it yourself. Those Wal-Mart/Radio Shack fittings are worthless.
