ERROR 311

HAVING PROBLEMS WITH ECHOSTAR ERROR 311..HAS ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? REFERENCE NUMBER 0485

Had problem with VIP211 this morning. Had to pull the Smartcard and reinsert it. Then let it reboot. All seems okay now.

unplug box and allow to come to that screen at least 4 times, if still get it, go to system info and check field f, if its red you are bad box, also check value:7 on the details screen of system info, if its a number other than a 4 after the 7, then box has hard drive failure

My 722 has started getting this error - three times in the past 2 weeks. The only thing that brings it back is unplugging the power. Tech support says I need to have the unit replaced as it is a failure with the hard drive. Fortunately I can dump my programming to my external hard drive as the 722 still works for a while once it comes back up.
