does anyone know what error code 614 on dish network means. the message along with it is "due to the lack of usage this signal will be turned off, if you don't want this to happen press cancel". dish network doesn't list this error code.it only does it on a local channel. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Second in reference to your issues, some more details would be greatly appreciated. Receiver type as well as some idea of where you live, and what type of dish you have are most definitely a minimum for anyone asking for technical help. Although the error codes are generally the same in all receiver, some of us have resources we check that require us to know what kind of receiver we are dealing with to avoid hours of checking each one for error numbers. Cause
When the receiver is inactive for a period of time, it will go into standby mode.
Prevention
Continuing to use the receiver by changing channels, scheduling event timers, etc.
Troubleshooting
Select No or Cancel.

Of course it is. All the OP needs to do do is to into the menu and disable the inactivity standby under preferences.....
