ESPN 140HD changes to Soccer App

I don't know why, but without warning, they changed 140HD (ESPN) to an interactive World Cup Soccer app. Because of that I totally missed recording the USA-Germany game. You can only get ESPN in SD on 140. To get it in HD you have to go to 9424 HD. Why would they do that without warning? Was there no other place to put the app other than to displace ESPN and mess up everyone's recordings? There wasn't even a notice that said "For ESPN HD, see channel 9424..." Even that would have been nice.

Am I the only one having this issue?

Well, if anyone else does have this problem, hopefully they can reference this thread and know to go to 9424 HD to get ESPN HD. Maybe it will change once my Hopper's download a new guide.

I just came here to say the exact same thing WTF is happening??! I'm on WA and both 140 and 152 have changed to the guide saying APP and Soccer World Championship or for 152 it says Find your Sports Watch your Team. I'm not happy!

This should be fixed now, they just reverted the changes and moved the app back to 151.

Not fixed for me in Little Rock. ESPN 151 is a black screen. Schedule shows the game is recoding but it is not. I can't get to 9421 either on my hopper. On my old 722 I could get the 9000's but since I got the hopper this channels do not show in the My Channels guide. What gives?

I reset my hopper and the issue is fixed.

If you had this problem eager today could you please pm me your receiver id number so I can forward it to DISH.

They are trying to figure out why this problem happened on just a handful of boxes.

I have just PM'ed every member that reported this issue seeking some information from them. If you had this issue earlier today we could use your help in figuring out why this issue happened only on some satellite receivers.

If it happened to you please EMAIL me your Receiver ID (and ONLY your receiver ID, for your security do not send me your account number, account information or smart card number.) I will then pass this info on to the team at DISH who is working on this issue. Please only send the receiver ID that you saw this happen on and not all the receivers in your house.

Did it happen during the game? Because my DVR recording suddenly stopped with 10 mins. left and I wonder if that was the reason.

the timer showed 40 mins. left in the recording but it would not move past that moment.

Yes it did. Please email me your receiver ID so I can send it to the team so they can figure out why this happened only on some units.
