ESPN 2 HD ?

Fox sports 2 is there, because when it was FSC(I beleive that's which one it was), was at that channel. When it got rebranded, it did not get remapped

actually it was Fuel TV that became Fox Sports 2, FXX is what replace FSC.

Is ESPN Classic gone?
yes, dish removed it recently as part of ESPN's plans to move the channel to a internet on-demand channel.

Dish removed it as part of their new ABC contract at ESPNs bidding. As contracts expire with other providers Classic will be entirely on demand....

143 sounded prettier?

I wonder if Buzzer Beater/Goal Line moves to 144. It would make logical sense that it would be right next to the ESPN channels and the alternate channels. And even though Buzzer Beater/Goal Line is a multi-sport package channel, there is already a precedent set with having Redzone next to NFL Network and Strike Zone next to MLB Network.

Really? You should try DirecTV, Uverse, or any number of cable systems. THOSE carriers have channls all over the place. Dish easily has the most logical and consistent channel grouping of any of them, with only a few exceptions. Some services even have a different channel number for the HD versions of channels!!!

BTW, what 6 channels do you see between news and shopping. I only see Ion. The News and Info channels end at 215, and the Shopping Channels begin at 217. And, I doubt that Ion is very popular at 216, as it's also available as a local channel in most markets.

You can say that again! Charter's line up has no logic to it at all and there are some channels that are listed two or three times.

Tru TV, CI, Logo, Mav just to name a few. Im sure the religious channels LOVE being right next to the "gay channel". I thought ION dropped dish and didnt want to offer a national feed anymore...Maybe im thinking the West Coast version?

El Rey- 253
LOGO- 254
CCTVNews- 279(no channels between)
I think you're confused about the channel line up. Here's a picture of most the channels you said.

Well they could have those channels next to the Porn channels instead.

TruTV, CI, and Logo are not between News and Shopping. As I said, only Ion is there.

The channels that you mention in the mid-200's and 300's are part of the Blockbuster@Home package, a "premium" package. So, they are located up higher. Plus, they were added much later to the Dish lineup. So, not much room left in the 100's.

It all makes a fair amount of sense. Dish has the most logically organized channel numbering scheme of any major carrier. And, your opinion of it is just not based on reality.

OTOH, I guarantee that the gay channel loves being right next to the religious channels.
