Fans of "Airplane"

The original (serious) Canadian movie "Zero Hour" that was the basis of "Airplane" is on TCM today at 1:45 Central time. Stars Sterling Hayden (it must be his day on TCM) and Dana Andrews. It's a pretty good movie, but you can't watch it now without cracking up if you saw "Airplane".

You're right, as soon as they said Ted Stryker I started to giggle... I have a drinking problem, and don't call me shirley... Much love for the quirky b-movies... And now the kid is in the cockpit and , yea I am laughing my ass off just thinking about airplane! haha

Thanks again. Got home and went straight to the DVR. My son and I laughed, hooted, slapped our legs and quoted lines for the full 90 minutes. Fantastic.

Just noticed this time through that Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch was the pilot. No doubt the inspiration for adding Kareem Abdul Jabbar to the cast of Airplane.
