Wow! The FCC is finally starting to act on this issue. If they did more of this, maybe the stations will think twice about pulling channels and charging unreasonable fees.

I am shocked. This has to be the first pro consumer ruling by the FCC in recent memory. Now the next appropriate step would be to force the breakup of Sinclair (not holding my breath).

If the FCC was really serious about the issue, it would ENFORCE the absolute prohibition on major network duopolies by INFORMING Sinclair that its illegally owned broadcast licenses have been CANCELLED, sold to others and the money used to pay down national debt.

Yeah right, like that's going to happen! (And if we go too much farther with that, we are going to get into Pit territory.)

As I have mentioned in a couple of other posts, we have 3 channels pulled. Two for over a year by one owner that had lost his NBC affiliation on one of them. Appollo recently bought the other and is requesting a 40% increase though the stations agreement was only a year old.

I filed a complaint with the FCC against the local channels. Based on this post it seems like a time for more people to pile on.
