Cool, module is on the way ;)

Am I correct in thinking you can enable PTAT for each Network seperately? I thought I saw that feature, where you have to select each one you want. Reason being, is most of my Local recording is off CBS, and its the most compressed. OTA would be my choice to record CBS and CW, but Id like Fox, ABC and NBC to go PTAT.

If there are more than two people in the house or if you just record a lot of shows I would say that having two Hoppers is a must. It's just little one time upfront fee to get it. There is no extra cost per month to have it.
Interesting comment. On one hand, I see many posts that seem to downplay the need to have more tuners in one box stating that people who are asking for more tuners are in the minority. Yet, on the other hand, you mention that households with more than two people should get two hoppers. I would argue that there are a lot of 3 person plus households out there. Does anyone still think the need for more tuners is a fringe need?

That is correct, you can set it for each network and for specific days, or for all and all.

here's a better thread for the six tuner in one box discussion: http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads...opper-come-out-I-hope-quot-SOON-quot-for-real

Very well discussed at that link.

You bet there is for me. I would like 5 to 6 tuner box. Sunday is a big pain scheduling for me during the racing season.

It's great to have the extra tuner to view OTA locals. However, since ATSC is MPEG2, I suspect that recorded shows from OTA will take up more disk space than the same shows recorded from the MPEG4 satellite locals feed. I used to notice this when I had a VIP622 and an EHD. The EHD directory listing would display the file size in MB next to the name of each show. When I had copies of the same show recorded from both satellite and OTA, the size of the OTA recorded file would usually be almost 1/3rd larger than the satellite version.

The new OTA tuner is an excellent addition to the already great Hopper / Joey system. I just need to remember that OTA recordings take up more disk space than satellite recordings and plan my timers accordingly.

Its almost 50% larger file size IIRC, maybe even double.
On my 722, the available free space seems to be calculated on MPEG2 standards...ie. if I record an hour of OTA, I lose an hour of available space. If I record an hour of MPEG4 SAT channel, it only goes down 15-20 minutes, so the file size ratio is more like 3-4 times.

I would verify they work on the Hopper. Then I would reset both the hopper and the joey. If they don't work on the Hopper I would check your signal strength and reset the box.
OTA works on the Hopper and so does my favorites. Tried the reset on the bedroom Joey to no avail. OTA signal strength is excellent.

Do you have another Joey you can try it from? You could also try going through the Hopper menus and choose Network Setup and Broadband and try resetting the network from there to see if that helps. You could also try removing all the scanned locals and then pull the OTA out and plug it back in and scan again to see if that helps. If it doesn't, you may want to speak with a dish rep and have them submit a report about it.

Does the Super Joey support CEC?
