The little door that covers the opening of the TOSLINK connector on my Samsung broke off. Now the cable won't stay seated properly. Anyone have a fix?

Maybe tape or put something behind the wire to prop it and keep it stuck in the port. Won't be a nice looking fix, but better than nothing.

You would need to replace the entire toslink unit. There are a dozen different mounting schemes, some requiring surface mount skills. Digikey sells some of this, but you also need to know if the connector is a transmitter, receiver or transceiver. You also need to know the mount configuration.

Perhaps Samsung parts lists the circuit board which could be replaced with simple hand tools.

The best bet is probably a cobbled together tape and wire combo.

I don't use it that much, so I'm using the analog connections. It was mostly used for Pandora, but now that it's on Directv, no need.
