just like text messages over a public network
I abide by the law for the most part, I don't panic when I pass one.
The government won't let you encrypt anything unless they have a tool to unencrypt it..The NSA has to approve everythingiMessage has end to end encryption, don't use WIFI to add another later of protection (no packet sniffing).
RCS I hear conflicting reports.

You are correct unless something changed in the last few months ...Unless something has changed, doesn't Apple decline to turn over encrypted messages to law-enforcement without the user of the phone actually providing the password or the Face ID?
Or are you suggesting NSA reads encrypted messages without a warrant?
I would imagine Android is the same ...
I have a feeling that will be gone ....Android = Google and they comply with whatever the gubmint tells them to do like good little soldiers. Google Maps, Lake America anyone? Bueller??!
Still says Ontario on Apple Maps.

Battery powered Ring and Blink cameras are pretty useless. They only detect motion for about 20 feet from the camera. We had someone walk into our yard and steal a bicycle. It was after dark and the camera shows them taking it but all you see is a blob riding off on that bicycle. After dark they are completely useless. Twice I have had the police come to the door and ask if our cameras recorded something in the one of the neighbors yard. Nope sorry officer. My cameras suck.As for the Ring and other brands as well, doorbells.
Those are not out LOOKING for YOU.
If your name is in the Flock database for whatever reason, they say "your Name" then it starts looking for you ....
Ring and Blink and the others don't look for specific people.
No...its all backed up on the cloud...NSA can do what ever they want....read the " patriot act"... they even have their own secret courts....FBI needs a warrantUnless something has changed, doesn't Apple decline to turn over encrypted messages to law-enforcement without the user of the phone actually providing the password or the Face ID?

Same here. It goes way back to the 60's when garbage men became sanitation engineers.I prefer we go back to what everything was Originally Named ...
New news report on this which confirms what I said earlier...but wasn't 100% sure. Yes, they are being removedAre they actually removing them, or just turning them off, which means you would never know if they were turned back on in the future.
Question for the moderators. Why does this get to stay when my reply detailing the renaming of dozens of examples of American institutions gets deleted?Android = Google and they comply with whatever the gubmint tells them to do like good little soldiers. Google Maps, Lake America anyone? Bueller??!
