Force 811 to download new software

Hey guys
I got my 811 last week and it still has P264 on it, is there a way to force a software download or do I have to just wait?

Insure that system upgrades has without my permission selected. Power off the receiver at night, you should receive the latest update by the next morning

to accelerate this process this should also work:

go to menu, selection installation, system upgrades

selection system upgrades "without my permission"

select "save", select save even if you changed nothing

cancel out, power off your receiver

In a few minutes an upgrade should automatically happen

I have set to "without my Permission" and it still hasn't taken a download. Should I just wait or call the tech guys to spool a download for it?

They're already working on a new software version so you wont be getting this one. And trust me you DONT want P287 so just continue your patience

Dish Tech "was a DICK"

I just talked to a Dish tech CSR and he was a total DICK! My 811 is turning into a piece of crap. Dish has to one of most shity companies that I have EVER dealt with.

yeah it is pretty funny when people call in about problems with their receivers, they actually tell them that it will be fixed in a software update, like we're supossed to be happy for that and enjoy being part of their never ending beta stage
