yep I have one :)

Works really well for what I use it for. I wouldnt get it if you plan on subscribing to some C-Band stuff but it works good for the FTA stuff

You may have some interference problems with 2 satellites that are strogn next to each other. As an example, I get the nets on G4 (G16) and a couple stations off IA5 at the same time :)

EITS Rating:
C/Ku satellite systems are also called PRIME FOCUS ANTENNA systems. This system utilizes two receivers. One, the ORB-7500 analog receiver contains a power supply to send power to the actuator [dish motor] on the satellite dish. The other receiver, the Viewsat 2000 Platinum DVB receiver, is a slave receiver. It receives all of the digital DVB [in the clear] signals that are present on the satellite. This is a wonderful system.
Installation should be performed by a professional or someone that is very knowledgeable and understands that this is an involved process. The dish will need to be installed on a 4-inch OD schedule-40 pipe.
Please do not purchase this system with any intentions of returning it. The freight charges involved make this system a keeper. When purchasing a C/Ku system, one should consider his/her a purchase an investment and a hobby. At Eye In The Sky, we consider it the very most enjoyable hobby we know.

This is what i ordered but they told me i should switch the sami 6ft dish for the FORTEC STAR FS6D polar mount. What do you think?i attached a picture of the sami mesh dish. What do you think

i'm not really a fan of the Viewsat because it deosnt work with a motor real well (but the C-Band would control it so thats moot) but the Viewsat Extrem has blind scan. I dont think the Platinum does and if that's the original Viewsat, honestly the best thing I can say is ewww.

I had an original Viewsat and I didnt like it. Too hard to work with.

I use the same 6' Sami dish! And it works GREAT !
This is what they wrote Eye In The Sky wrote:

> If you want the very best signal reception, let me ship you the solid 6 foot dish. Much better reception for both and I will upgrade you to the Viewsat Extreme and throw in a digital modulator too so you can send your signal all around the house from both receivers. Or just use it on one TV. Makes things so much more versatile.
> I would not tell you a story here. The solid dish is getting rave reviews.
> I can get all of it out the door today.
> I guess you do not get email at the other email address?PSB what do you and Iceberg think?Should i get the solid dish or the 6ft sami mesh dish?

I would go for the solid dish if given the choice!

Yes I only check my other e-mail a few times a day :(
