i have a chance to bring home a 12 foot unimesh, which has a very small amount of damage to the mesh....something like 3 holes ,as big as a fifty cent piece or a little bigger.patching it with some mesh should not be a problem.i don't have a trailer to haul this monster but i was thinking of numbering the parts as i disasemble it and take it home like that.I have a solid 6 footer that really does the job for a 6 footer but i want more.I think if i get this bad boy home..clean the rust, patch the mesh, spray paint the whole unit...i would have a hell of a dish...should be no problem with the rtn networks on 87w or anything else working thru the openbox s9:D

You're complaining 'cause it's got three 1" holes?
Heck, when I was in Viet Nam, we called that: ventilation!
. . . or maybe: friendly fire - :)

Most dishes, I wouldn't paint.
Since you mentioned rust, I'm guess it's on the mount.
Wire wheel or wire cup on a drill will take off what is loose.
Then, hit it with one of the rust-bonding primers; you don't need bare metal.
Cover over with a top coat in whatever color you like, and yer good to go.
See Stogie5150's latest BUD project for a color scheme; that Navy Blue is very nice! - :up

Have a copy of a manual or factory software for a FTA reciever?
